French Vision
Our aim is to support children to communicate in French with confidence, and to teach language that is useful in everyday situations. Learning French increases and deepens understanding of how language works and allows children to explore the similarities and differences between French, English and the other languages that they speak. We recognise language learning as an opportunity for cross-curricular exploration and social development.
Through learning another language children learn to value all the languages spoken by our school community and become curious about the world around them and the various cultures in it. Every lesson reinforces this guiding principle: language brings people together.
