Recruitment 

Central Park is a large primary school, commutable by public transport. We have a clear line-management structure but also empower staff at all levels to help move the school forward. Currently a ‘Good’ school, as judged by Ofsted, we aspire to be an ‘outstanding’ school but do not judge ourselves by that standard. We want to be a great school where Every Child Really Does Matter and if we let down one child, or a group of children, we are disappointed in ourselves.

We are often complimented on the happy and positive ethos of the school. The credit for this must be largely accorded to the attitude of both the staff and children. They are friendly, motivated and generally very well behaved – staff and children! They have a very positive attitude towards their learning – seeing it as an on-going process.

Both staff and children represent a wide variety of cultures and languages, they contribute a diverse and invaluable richness to the school’s life and community. We are very proud of them. Our parents are also very involved in their child’s education; they support the school and the events we hold. They say we have a very good reputation locally and would not want their child to go to any other school.  

Choosing the right school for their child is an important decision for any parent. We aim for all the pupil's at Central Park to enjoy their time at primary school in a safe environment. We can achieve this by recruiting staff that are dedicated and hardworking. I have a few mottos – one I can be heard saying often is ‘Time, Energy and Effort’ (TEE). The more TEE you put in the better the outcomes for our pupils. If you are willing to put in the Time, Energy and Effort and go the extra mile required to give our pupils the best start then we want to welcome you to Central Park.

However, we pride ourselves on being able to spot talent and develop that talent so that there is a clear progression to leadership if desired. Governors invest heavily in CPD, prioritise succession planning and care for staff well-being. We can give you some guarantees at Central Park:


We will professionally develop you through a personalised approach to CPD and provided progression opportunities when ready and positions become available.
Additional responsibilities will be rewarded through TLRs commensurate with personal experience and outcomes achieved.
Whilst improving pupils’ outcomes is paramount, staff well-being is at the forefront of implementing actions and these are evaluated through regular consultation.
